Act 1 scene 1
In the beginning of this play we see a man by the name Richard had conspire to have his brother King Edward IV executed. At the beginning of the scene we see Shakespeare using soliloquy that is making Richard mutter to himself. Richard was a man who had a deformity which made him sexually unsuccessful with women. He had another brother Clarence. Clarence was imprisoned because there was a rumour that someone with the letter "g" would execute the King. This rumour was started by Richard. He then heard that Edward was sick but he want Clarence executed before Edward would die. He the wanted a woman by the name of Lady Anne who was a widow.
