Act 1 scene 4

In this scene one see that Clarence is in the tower of London, then the two murderers came in and said that they had killed Clarence in his sleep in spite of his pleas. Clarence knew that he would go to hell for all the bad deeds he had committed, for his brother Edward who was the one who got him imprisoned.

Act 1 scene 3

In this scene we find out that King Edward was ill. Queen Elizabeth, Lord Gary and Lord River are discussing about it. She wanted Richard and his brothers to be peacefully for once that is Queen Elizabeth. So Richard  and Lord Hastings go into Edwards room and saw him.

Richard stays behind to see the two murderers he sent to kill Clarence. he then says "And thus I clothe my naked villainy / With odd old ends, stol'n forth of Holy Writ" that's just saying that he hides behind his Christian behaviour.

Act 1 scene 2

In this scene we see Lady Anne  having a funeral for he late husband King Henry VI after  he was killed by Richard. She then cursed any children that he would have in the future. Richard then enters  and he was immediately cursed off by Anne. He tried to woo her but was cursed on every attempt. he then propose to her and told her to go and live in one of his houses in London.

Act 1 scene 1

In the beginning of this play we see a man by the name Richard had conspire to have his brother King Edward IV executed. At the beginning of the scene we see Shakespeare using soliloquy that is making Richard mutter to himself. Richard was a man who had a deformity which made him sexually unsuccessful with women. He had another brother Clarence. Clarence was imprisoned because there was a rumour that someone with the letter "g" would execute the King. This rumour was started by Richard. He then heard that Edward was sick but he want Clarence executed before Edward would die. He the wanted a woman by the name of Lady Anne who was a widow.
